It is the ideal option when you want to disconnect, to recharge your batteries, to organize a hike or simply, just to relax!
For my readers across the globe, I truly recommend this place in case you decide to visit Romania. It’s easy to get here by train and you will be astonished by the entire place. You will also find tasty food on here, kind and humble people and there are a lot of great places where you can stay, too.
Stay with me to find out how the whole experience was in Busteni, but also to be inspired if you get there in the future.
HOW WE GOT THERE
I, together with my fiancee, arrived by train from Bucharest. Fortunately, is a short trip, with a lot of wonderful landscapes. The train passes by Campina, Breaza and Sinaia, and the mountains get a breathtaking view. Prahova river flows gently, while the whole nature reveals itself in all its beauty.
Of course, you can get by car in Busteni, the option is completely yours!
WHERE WE STAYED
We stayed at Cochet Complex, where the whole experience was amazing. The complex is located at the beginning of the road to Urlatoarea Falls, with a dreamy view of the mountains and picturesque houses. In what concers the interiors, we had a classy furniture and a very clean room. The breakfast was an experience by itself and it had an incredible flavor. EXTRA TIP: If you want to stay there, try their savory pancakes!
WHAT WE DID
Having only two days, we didn’t get to see as many touristic attractions as we wanted. We crossed the small town on the main street, admiring the architecture of the houses, the view of the mountains and the small souvenir shops. We also visited Gura Diham and I was pleasantly impressed by the green road through the mountains to the destination. At the same time, it is impossible to stay in Busteni and not visit the famous Cantacuzzino castle which has a fairytale garden which shelters an outstanding castle. I recommend, from a previous trip, a visit at the Caraiman monastery, but also a visit to the mountain resorts nearby: Sinaia, Azuga, Predeal.
WHAT I WORE
In the first day, I chose a pair of comfortable jeans, a high neck velvet blouse and I felt the need to add some red to all this blue. To move easily, I opted for a pair of white sport shoes.
In the second day, I chose a pair of leather pants, an elegant flower printed blouse and I wore the same pair of shoes. I think an outfit, especially when exploring new sights, must be easy to wear, but it also should be charming.
What other places would you recommend me to visit?
Hugs and kisses,
